The Folklore State Centre is a partner in the Erasmus+ project "Digital Dimension of the UNESCO Cultural Space Network.
The program, a partnership cooperation in adult education, aims to create a wide network of partners focused on promoting UNESCO-recognized values within Europe’s intangible cultural heritage.
Representatives from Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Slovakia, North Macedonia, Estonia, Latvia, and Finland are visiting Georgia until April 4.
The guests will visit Ozurgeti and Poti. They will tour the Ozurgeti Tech park, where students from a School of Choirmasters will create a 3D Larchem-Soinar (a kind of Georgian musical instrument) . Additionally, a lecture-presentation by ethnomusicologists Maia Gelashvili and Maka Khardziani will be held at the Ozurgeti Folklore Centre. A visit to the Kolkheti National Park is also planned. Thematic presentations will take place at Niko Nikoladze Tower as well.
On April 4 , the participants are visiting Giorgi Donadze, the director of the Anzor Erkomaishvili Folklore State Centre .
The Folklore State Centre will host thematic presentations by Zura Tskhrialashvili, the director of the ensemble "Basiani", ethnomusicologist Nana Mzhavanadze, and Tevdore Gogoladze, a staff member of the centre .
