In the second volume of the "Hymnographical Collection", we represent the stichera on “Lord, I have cried” from St. George the Hagiorite’s Octoechos. This edition is submitted by the musical attachment, which is compiled according to the manuscripts written by St. Philemon the Chanter (Koridze), St. Ekvtime the Confessor (Kereselidze), and Archpriest Razhden Khundadze. The publication consists of two parts: the first part presents the scientifically established critical text of the stichera on “Lord, I have cried” along with footnotes in which the differences among the manuscripts are displayed; the second section contains the musical attachment that will enable church chanters to perform these chants during Vespers service. Moreover, the complete text of the Psalm “Lord, I have cried”, with its smallsized refrains, is being made public. The refrains have been compiled according to the Horologions of St. George the Hagiorite’s edition. The Second Volume of the "Hymnographical Collection" contains only the material of the First and Second Tones due to a large amount of the stichera on “Lord, I have cried.” As a result, the remaining tones of the stichera on “Lord, I have cried” will be published in the following volumes of the "Hymnographical Collection." The current edition is meant for philologists, church chanters, and readers, as well as for a broader circle interested in ecclesiastical hymnography.
